Newly Born…

Sleeping baby boy, 1 day old (By: Tim Hawley)

“A new era of responsibility is here.”
-Valerie Jarrett
A lot of emotions, a lot of words, a lot of actions but no one could describe what his feeling about Egypt is. As you see a newborn baby, just smiling with joy and hope for a better future.

The youth have made the day for the whole society. They have changed the opinion of the world about Egypt.

Before anything, I would like to commemorate the martyrs of this revolution. May Allah bless their souls with his mercy. And for their families:

“[Prophet], do not think of those who have been killed in God’s way as dead. They are alive with their Lord, well provided for, happy with what God has given them His favour; rejoicing that for those they have left behind who have yet to join them there is no fear, nor will they grieve; [rejoicing] in God’s blessing and favour, and that God will not let the reward of the believers be lost.”
- Surah Al ‘Imran “The Family of ‘Imran” 3:169-171 (translated by: M. A. S. Abdel Haleem)

For their mothers, I know that no words describe a mother's tears, no words can heal a broken heart but Allah's promise for them is enough to calm them down.

We have begun a new era in Egypt; a new era of change, power and responsibility. A new era, in which, every Egyptian can live with the principles of freedom, democracy, equality and justice.

After 18 days of revolution, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak steps down and hands power to the military, all the respect and appreciation to them. Things changed quickly on Friday, and now Egypt enters a new stage which needs a lot of work.

So the question now is what's next?
We need to begin changing our country to be better, we need to put a plan which covers every discipline in the Egyptian affairs, we need free and fair elections, we need development, science ... and we need to look forward to a different future.

In my opinion, every person must begin the change within himself so he must change his attitude first.

“We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.”
-Charles R. Swindol
Every one of us has dreams, plans for the future, power to change everything; so we don’t want to lose this spirit.

What have happened taught us not to give up a purpose or a dream, to protect our ideas & goals. Allah gives us a great power to change everything around in the world, to use wisdom & awareness to create a better future.

The Egyptians have proven that they can be the change they want to see in the world as Gandhi said.

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
-Mahatma Gandhi
If you want something, go get it.

Keep the courage to change everything you can. Don’t give up a dream.
Be the change you want to see ...Live Better Life...

I really love your writings.

Don't ever waste it, I suggest everyone,
that we start to write down A vision, What we would like to change in ourselves , What we would like to see in our country, How to accomplish it and share it with others. I guess from now on We should always think out of the box. If we want for real to make a change. No more fear, Think clearly then go for it :)

@ Maha:

thank you for following. and you are right about repeating things that give you power to change every thing.

@ Ghadeer:

I agree with you. and I think that our role now, besides changing ourselves, is to put a plan for every discipline in Egypt.

We have creative thoughts and we can make use of it now.We can put our abilities in use inside our country to improve it.

Protect our dream :) is our goal now and protection means begin achieving the goals.

thank you for following and thank you for your effective comment.
we could make an open discussion in the coming topic to discuss our thoughts towards our country.

thank you again; Live better life :)

Omnia,
I think There's an idea or a topic I have either Me or U should write about.

There is something still inplanted in us, so the Whole corrupted system isn't totally demolished yet. As evidence, Still Many return to their same dull meaningless life, either by making how to make a living or how to waste their time via games or hang outs as higher priorities. Being inpatient and try to select east passages. Waiting to recieve what is delivered to us via Media or our Parents or people around us. Also, we have a very weak point we don't a good based knowledge, one of the ways of strengthing it is to read more, discover more, think more, observe more, reply later after a deep thinking. We should try new people, new things without being Afraid, Get rid of the common phrase " What We know better than we don't".Enrich yourselves in politics, literature, sociology, science or whatever you like in a way that will lighten up your perspective and scope of thinking. We should not take religious things for granted without thinking why or How it can be implied in our days and what the similarities and difference between old days and Now and what need to be changed. We should try hard as we can to fight our inner self all the time and Do Good. No Matter How long the Night takes, the sun will rise eventually in a the way you expect or in another but you have to believe it will Rise.

Ghadeer :)

An objective reply from a great character :)

I see that the summery of your point of view is improving education in Egypt.
I think that education is the main reason for developing a lot of countries. Not only schools or collage stages but also the scientific research & development.

Besides the improvement of education you need to begin in improving the general knowledge of the citizens in all disciplines of life.

As a plan we will have two branches to work on:
1- the kids.(from 4 or 6 years till 16 or 17)
2- the grown ups (from 17 to 60 or above)

About the first stage, it will be easy to change their attitudes, to improve their education, knowledge,... (this is the building stage)

About the second stage, it will be a bit difficult unless every one need/accept the concept of changing to a better character. (this is the repairing stage)

In addition, every branch have different layers of the society which need a different way to deal with.

But the question now is: how we could encourage all the citizen to accept the idea of changing/ the idea of living better life?

My answer will be, begin with yourself. If every one begin with himself, changing his attitude, begin to learn and narrate what he have learned to friends, relatives,.. he can encourage them to be better than him. But it need the courage from the person to leave the traits of selfishness, arrogance, not loving others to be better than him...etc.

And I remember the Khalifa Omar Ibn Abd-El-Aziz, when he begin the change with himself all the nation became better because they saw the good manners of their governor.

About the religious issue, I totally agree with you. All our (مشايخ وعلماء الدين)are different with each other and for that every one of them have his own opinion from his own perspective. When you want to know a (فتوى)about something you will find a lot of opinions so what shall I do take this or that, besides I don't have the religious maturity to know which is the right.
And in my opinion it is also an educational issue :)

I am really happy with your reply, it added a lot to me :)
Thank you,
Wishing you the best...

@Ghadeer & Legend:

agree..agree..agree with both of you....

I believe in the concept of leadership..i mean:

"If the father is knocking the drum, all the family will be dancers"...

اذا كان رب البيت بالدف ضارب
فشيمة اهل البيت كلهم الرقص

so I think we need a LEADER....

The only person I see to be our leader through the way of repairing our EGYPT... beginning from the EDUCATION and R&D as you mentioned above is...

PROF.AHMED ZOWAIL...

:)

@ Maha:

Thank you for sharing us the discussion.

I think that we must free ourselves from the concept of: "The leader is the one who in charge so he is responsible of changing every thing including us"

I know that the leader have a great role as I told you the story of the Khalifa Omar Ibn Abd-El-Aziz, but the change must begin within us.

"If you think you can fly, you will"

I agree with you that if Dr. Zewail be in charge of the improvement of the scientific research we will have a Renaissance in this discipline ISA.

Thank you again :)

I agree with Omnia, We don't have to wait till we choose a leader to make a change. Of course the Idea of the leader is just to make someone in charge of certain task that will help in improving the country. also, reflecting the most suitable goals of all his population which will cause prosperity and wealth for them all. It's a way to make things more organized not a way to make him do ALl the thinking. I am with you that we Need Dr. Zowail. Thats my point also, that we need to know our remarked people who have been abanded out of their own country against there will. We have many brilliant minds, we need to dig for them and read about them. Dr. Farouk el Baz for example had a good project for increasing our agriculture in Egypt by making good use of a great deserted region. Dr.Mohamed Abdel Fatah for example he educates the science of politics in USA. Mr. Bilal Fadl he is a good novelist. We have Egyptians in Canada organize the whole education system there.
I really Consider the Era of Omar Ibn Abdel Aziz is the best Ideal of a good Government system. Also, I loved the era of Omar Ibn el Khattab that he communicated and checked upon his people the entire time.
We need to get rid of certain manners we have, for example like using the slang language all the time, being nervous, ...etc

@ Ghadeer:

I think that the government of Dr.Ahmed Shafik have taken steps towards Dr. Zewail Project & dr. El Baz Project.

They begin to possess a piece of land for dr zewail project.
and they have set a conference with dr. El Baz to see his perspective and begin in it.

I think that is a good starts towards improvement our country.

About the manners: The rules respect, A lot of citizen do not use this manner. Even in the underground.

keep discussing :)
